Should You Get Unemployment Benefits Gross Misconduct or Unemployment Benefits When Fired?

Many people these days are getting unemployment, for many reasons, so every case needs to be looked at differently. The economy is the main reason for the loss of many jobs. Filing for unemployment, you have to give the reason you lost your job. If your filing for unemployment benefits, and you put the reason unemployment benefits gross misconduct, then you caused yourself to lose your job. I dont think anyone should receive unemployment benefits when fired. You lost your job when so many people are willing to work. The benefits are for people who lost their jobs due to layoffs or companies going out of business. Jobs are few and far between, and if you had a good paying job, and you caused yourself to lose it, then why should the government pay you to find another one? When you fill out the forms for benefits, and put down unemployment benefits gross misconduct, they will more than likely deny you. They, the government, feels as I do, and does not think people should get unemployment benefits when fired. I have a few friends that are getting unemployment, and it is just barely enough to pay the bills, and put food on the table. They are looking for work and will even take a cut in pay,so long as it is a paycheck. Times are hard for everyone and it is nice to see people working together to help each other. I help them with food when I can, and so does other friends. I just cant see why someone would do something to cause themselves to lose their job to where they cant pay their bills or take care of their family.
